Akin Omobitan

I met Akin through both working contracts at D&AD in 2008. We instantly became firm friends as we were the only two to laugh at each other’s jokes. More out of pity than anything, but hey, at least we were making the effort.

Always full of jokes and weird stories or theoretical questions like “If you were walking to work, you looked up, and bird shit dropped directly into your mouth, what would you do?

Up for fun as well. Say for example, convincing a party of people (whom we worked with at D&AD) that we were actually VIP Judges, (not lowly temps).

I’ve worked around with large groups of temps many times. You have a great time together, at the end everyone says how important it is that everyone keep in touch and meet up all the time. But no one ever makes the slightest bit of effort to do so.

Akin is different. If he enjoys someone’s company then he’ll stay in contact and make the effort. If he doesn’t like someone, he won’t lie about it.

Good man.
