Laura’s Veggie 22nd - Brought to you by Gazz Wood -
So once again we journey, quite unexpectedly, to the House of Rules. Seems tonight there is to be a shindig in honour of Little Laura's 22nd Birthday. Never to be the ones who miss a birthday, especially one of an LMU Leg.End, we change plans and move around some finances in order to attended.
Once we (Gazz and James) arrive we're greeted by a room full of people sitting around and enjoying drinks, some light chat and one or two snacks on the go. Actually the first person to properly greet us is Roony. Shockingly enough he says 'Alright Dudes' as he has said every time we've seen him ever since we met. It's nice to have that... keeps you grounded.
Doing the rounds one of the first few people I come across is Becca, the fugitive American on the run from the Amish community who wish to enslave her for butter churning and barn raising based activities. She fled, finding herself in Leeds. It's a good job, because otherwise who'd mock everything I say in a piss poor 'English' accent, usually adding Mate on the end of each sentence purely for effect? Who'd do it? Sam? I think not.
Speaking of Sam, it's becoming more of a pleasure to see him every time I do. He's chilled out no end over the summer and is now a comedy force to be reckoned with. There were the other usuals, Jaquesy, Tori, Thommy, Liam (who is wank) and so on, but the big surprise was Upstairs Jim. The Man Who Wasn't There was there, which as you can imagine was a shock. Very good to see the boy, who's lost some weight and gotten a tan. Can't fault him.
The snacks, as it turned out, were vegetarian. I ate them, because they were free, but I didn't feel good about it. You might also want to know that, simply to add to the LMU Leg.Ends quota, Lex Pixie was there too, with her fella.
The party turned into a jam session in Jime's room, even though he was there, and I had a bash on the drums. I cannot play the drums.
Horrified to find out that Thommy might not make the Karl Kennedy night at Walkabout.
It just... won't be the same without him.
