Harvey Nichols Gentleman’s Club - Brought to you by Gazz Wood -


Having tickets to this exclusive in store shindig made us feel special. So special we donned our suits and combed our hair. The fact that N-Gage's Mum got us the tickets cuz she works there didn't tarnish it a bit, and when myself (Gazz), James and Youd showed up, N8 was already there and had already got through a few free champagnes. OH YES! Free Drinks everybody.


The Gentlemen's Club was held in the Men's Section of the Harvey Nichol's store, with the option to buy anything you saw as you perused the new line of clobber on show. Course we couldn't afford so much as a pair of socks. Not even if we clubbed together and agreed to share the socks, we were there for the free booze and cigars.


As it goes the cigars were not free. Nathan got a demo from the man at the cigar stand in the Harvey Nic's Bar/Restaurant. He learned some interesting stuff, such as making sure to burn the end of the cigar before you smoke it, so you don't just taste paper. However the demo did culminate in him purchasing an £8 cigar (a Romeo Y Julietta if you're interested) in a somewhat shady fashion. As part of the demo the guy cut it, lit it, handed it to Nathan and then called over a girl, who promptly took N8's credit card and returned a short while later with something for him to sign.


Since we're poor students, and clearly in over our heads, we all had a bang on the cigar and took pictures to prove it. Oh yes, we're men now.


Me and James then took Youd to Irania, the staple sandwich joint of New York Street. £3 bought us a chicken, hummus and cheese sandwich. It was the best thing I've eaten in some time and even converted Youd from Subway, till he went there 15 minutes later when Nic's had stopped letting people in (or BACK in) and we had to leave.


We were gonna meet N8 and his lady Katie at Life, but it was student night, they were checking cards, which we didn't have.


So after Youd ate his Subway we sheened on home, looking pretty suave even if we didn't get any free aftershave and a comb.
