Top of the morning :-)
Don’t you just love Mondays! The sweet soothing sound of the ‘wake up’ alarm encouraging you to hurry up and get out of the house.
Snooze? What on Earth for? I leap out of bed with the vigour of a miscreant who’s served his final day and is set to be released into the same society from which he was once banished.
Ahh... The air does smell fresh as the Londis truck backs up and fills my lungs on a power stroll to the train station. I greet my fellow man as I pass him by, “Top of the morning governor. Nice hat.”
The magical train journey. There isn’t anything in this ancient city which possesses more romance. At this point I couldn’t get any closer to my fellow citizens – literally. Is that a pregnant lady I see? “Care for a seat madam? You’re welcome.”
Upon exiting the train I toss some change and a chicken & bacon sandwich into a homeless man’s upturned hat, “And a good day to you and your dog.”
I skip on. The week commences. Something is in the air...
